I think those who are like that are mostly asian-americans who are minorities struggling to fit in and find an identity for themselves. a friend of mine who's eurasian (polish and chinese) but appears more white told me that back when she was studying in singapore, she used to be teased a lot for looking white. she was nicknamed 'red haired monkey' in chinese there. |

Yup. a friend of mine is at university with an asian girl, and every day her parents call her up, telling her to look pretty, and asking her if she's found a white boyfriend/ potential husband yet. My friend's dad and uncle both went off with thai and chinese women. |
