Because TV is selling something. And many white men have a bit of an Asian woman fetish, or at least a curiosity. Men watch the shows and see the fun fun advertising. Get married. White women have no interest in sex after marriage so why try to sell to them that way? |

Its not only in US Buddy, Go anywhere in Europe, America, Australia even New Zealand. The White guys find them extremly easy to get. The chances of her remaining faithful is big unlike the white girl who can vanish with anybody after a drink & say "darling it was a mistake, you know its not my true self, sorry darl ", Most important is Immigration for these Asian girls. Don't sweat it so much. It's the TV, not reality. In the end, racial stereotypes are perpetuated or broken on a person to person level. So turn off the tube, stop spending all that time talking about the tube on the internet, and get out there and counterbalance these racial stereotypes that you don't want being put out there. I'm a Filipino and I see this material out there too. But I can choose to turn it off and instead spend some time with my girl (she's Italian- American) and our baby-to-be. Several of my Male Filipino-American friends can say they can do something similiar (My best friend, for instance is also expecting, with his half-black half-white gf; due around the same time). What I'm sayin is that you're not out there alone, bro. Others see it too. But don't linger on it. If you feel we're under represented, get out there and represent. |
