Posted by: alberto on 2008-10-08, 09:11:09 Jeff, Brazilians (and I'm one of them), has not the habit to call a woman Beautiful based on her weight or to generalize all woman Between A pounds-X pounds. So, we don't say big "beautiful " only because a woman is extra pounds. If a woman has extra weight, we call her "gorda " (fat). If we want give a good impression for our commentary about her, we say "gordinha " (a little bit fat) even if a woman is very fat. "Gordinha " is a more simpatico form to refer or eulogize a woman with some extra pounds. |
