Dunno. It certainly seems to be a big issue for some at YA, but it's not for me and it's not really an issue in my country that i know of (Aus). Different racial dynamics i guess. Plus most of my family is mixed, but even if they weren't, still couldn't care less about other's double standards. Date who you want and let the haters suck it up. ETA: How can ppl not love Kip and La Fawnduh!? |

Actually it's not that big of a deal to most you will see more interracial sex scenes on TV with black women and other races, much more often than black men and other races. The reason why it's not a big deal is because, like James Brown said "This is a Man's world " In other words, men rule and hate other men. For example white men rule the society in America, white men only care when BLACK MEN(or any race of man) dates their women, that is all. There was a time, that black men would be lynched for dating white women. It was much worse for black men/ white women Again i still believe that usually black men and women date white people because they hate being black or dislike blacks(praising skin color that is lighter than theirs). It's sad that blacks are the only race of people that can't date interracially without bashing their own race of people |

The people that don't like it are white women cause their ego is hurt they were brought up to believe that black is ugly when in reality is a LIE! JEALOUSY just pure JEALOUSY! Now when black women have a problem with it is cause maybe they can't get one so they strike out at black girls for this! Again Jealousy comes into play! |

Honestly, I don't know what "people " you are referring too. Some ethnic groups may exclude Black women from their choice of mate/ or date. But, it depends on the individuals really. I know some men from various ethnic groups other than Black who are very attracted to Black women. On the other hand you have those who aren't at all. As a Black man, I think some Black men have issues with it because they truly desire a Black woman as a life long partner deep in their heart, but, some feel they'll be faced with nothing but drama...sad, but true that they think that way. |

It seems that it only matters if the black woman is attractive. And this also goes for white women. White men will scoff at an attractive white woman with a black man, but if she's fugly, they won't care at all. Aside from that theory, black men might feel angered by the fact that a black woman is dating The Man, their nemesis and the reason for their perceived ills in life. But that's not all, of course. |
